Bologna Trattoria is an Italian restaurant at 7071 Dixie Hwy in Clarkston, MI, serving lunch and dinner in a casual, cozy setting. The restaurant’s description explains that the photographs on its walls depict family members rather than stock images. It traces that family history from a great-grandfather’s life as a Mediterranean sea captain and arrival through Ellis Island to Detroit, where grandfather Ambrose Bologna sold fruit and produce by horse and buggy. The restaurant offers comfort food, small plates, vegetarian options and dessert, with wine, beer and cocktails available from an on-site bar. Happy-hour food and drinks are also offered. The quiet, romantic atmosphere suits a dinner for two, while a children’s menu, high chairs and group seating accommodate other dining plans. Reservations are accepted, and service options include dine-in, outdoor seating, takeout, curbside pickup and delivery. Dogs are allowed outside. Free lot and street parking are available, along with wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, seating and restrooms.
